Heraldic visitation of Essex, England apparently begun by Nicholas Charles and then continued after his death; the latest date in Charles' hand [?] on p. 2 records the marriage in 1607 of Henry Wallop to [Elizabeth] Corbet; Elrington genealogies on p. 52 and 56 are continued in a different hand on p. 88-91 from the death of Rowland Elrington in 1595 to the death of Elizabeth Elrington in 1634, the date of Owen and Lilly's visitation; cf.
